Good Morning Gustavo,
Thanks for enquiring about my husband’s health.Fortunately, although he is still feeling weak and moving slow, the family managed to get him to the church to see his granddaughter get married yesterday and he even spent an hour at the reception watching the speeches and such. He was pretty tired once we got back to the hotel and he just crashed and slept thru the rest of the day into this morning.
We went to breakfast and are getting ready to pack up and move into his daughter’s house (90 minutes down the road) in preparation to attend his grandson’s wedding this coming Saturday. We’re hoping that the week of rest will help him regain some more of his strength to spend more time enjoying the reception festivities and get ready for our cruise back to the US the following week.
He still has a few days to complete his course of antibiotics, hoping they will wipe out the infection once and for all and we can get this behind us.So he is slowly continuing to recuperate and is cautiously optimistic he’s finished with the NHS for the rest of the trip 🙏.
Hope you are doing well too Gustavo. I appreciate your kind and constant presence during our time of need. Will keep you updated as we finish out our journey.

Thank you so very much and thanks for checking in. The pain was a bit much yesterday from all the moving during the scans, but after some Ibubrufen and elevation it is feeling much more manageable today. The doctors gave me some solid advice on how to take care and manage the wrist during the cast period – rest, elevation, cooling and avoiding use – and it is so useful. Thanks so much for your amazing support. It was daunting facing medical care in a foreign country but you guys have made it seamless!

I also just want to say thank you again for helping me navigate this rather stressful situation. Last time we travelled, we needed to use Robin Assist’s service, and this time as well, and if/when we travel internationally again in the future, we definitely plan on getting a travel insurance policy from the same group (which I would assume will still contract with you all), because I can’t even imagine the amount of additional stress we would have had were it not for you all. Obviously, we hope to not have to use the services, but even just having the reassurance that we can connect with you so quickly and that you are there when needed is worth every penny and then some!
